Emily Elwer is a dedicated and dynamic education professional with a strong foundation in both communication and early childhood education. Growing up in Wickliffe, Emily pursued higher education at The College of Wooster, where she double-majored in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Early Childhood Education, providing a comprehensive understanding of how children develop and communicate. Driven by a passion for supporting educational environments and fostering student success, Emily recently earned a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Ursuline College in 2024. This advanced degree has further refined her leadership skills, enabling her to make a significant impact in the field of education. With a unique blend of expertise in communication, early childhood development, and educational leadership, Emily is committed to shaping the future of education through thoughtful, effective, and compassionate leadership.
After earning her Early Childhood Education license, Emily began her career as a lead preschool teacher before transitioning to the Catholic school setting in 2020. For the past four years, Emily has worked at Communion of Saints School, where she served as a second-grade teacher for two years before transitioning into the role of building principal. In her leadership role, Emily has embraced the opportunity to guide students, faculty, and staff while fostering a sense of community and faith within the school.
In Emily’s free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors, embracing the natural world as a way to recharge and find balance. At home, she cherishes time spent with her husband, newborn son, and their dog, creating memories and enjoying the simple joys of family life.
